COOL KRYMSUN LADY, World Champion
First Krymsun Kid to be an AQHA World Champion!!!

On November 14, 2007, just weeks after placing Reserve in the Congress Masters Western Pleasure class, Gil Galyean rode this beautiful bay filly to her World Championship in 2-Year-Old Western Pleasure.

“Annie” the first Krymsun Kid to win an AQHA World Championship, was bred by Howard Smith and is out of his great mare, Cool Lookin Lady by embryo transfer. She is now owned by Leslie Vagneur Lange and Heritage Farms, of Greeley Colorado.

Bart Krymsun Rides Again
Also a crowd favorite, Bart Krymsun, ridden by Melissa Jones, placed third in the same class. "He was spectacular," said one observer. "You just couldn't take your eyes off him. He was very steady, cadenced and had a remarkable top line." Bart Krymsun is owned by the Robert Pursley Family and is out of Zippers Imp, by Mr Rusty Zipper.

Three Krymsun Kids in the Top Ten
These two are not going to be the only tough ones to beat in the 3-year-old classes in 2008. Kenny Lakins and HF Bentley, placed 9th in the same class. HF Bentley is owned by Lakins and Teri Wolf, who bred the bay stallion. He is out of Tahnee Zippo, the now deceased dam of Blazing Hot.

According to AQHA, this is the first time a stallion has sired 3 horses in the top ten of the 2-year-old western pleasure. There have been more than two in other western pleasure classes. In 2002, Invitation Only sire 5 in the top ten of the Jr Western Pleasure.

Little Sister Wins Congress Masters
Good Luck Girl, Zippos Mr Good Bar x Krymsun Jet Set, won the Congress Masters Futurity earning $100,000 with Tina Kaven aboard. Good Luck Girl is a half sister to One Hot Krymsun. Congratulations to all.


KRYMSUN KIDS Do Daddy Proud at the Tom Powers Futurity
Thanks to our Krymsun Kids, One Hot Krymsun was once again a top winning sire this year at the Tom Powers! (photos by Holman Photography and Jaime Foutty)
There were no doubts that Krymsuns would make good longe liners as well as good riders! Five out of 24 yearlings in the Breeders Slot were Krymsun Kids. Four of the five placed in the top 10. Three of the 5 placed in the top 5. In fact 3 of the top 4 Novice Longers were Krymsuns!

Kongratulations to Keith Whistle and The Krymsun Kruzer for their Championship in the prestigious 3YO Western Pleasure and for winning the Circuit Championship in the Jr Western Pleasure. Kongrats also to trainer Shirley Roth and owner Gerri Leigh Pratt. This beautiful stallion is by One Hot Krymsun and out of Pleasure and Passion (An Awesome Mister x Miss Docs Melody, earner of 600+ WP points).



Kongratulations to Andy Lockwood and Oprah Winnee for their Reserve Championships in the Open & Novice Breeders Challenge Slot Longe Lines and for placing 8th in the Open Yearling Longe Line and to Becky Bailey placing 7th in the Non-Pro Yearling Longe Line. Many thanks to Waymond Roberts (and to his faithful, but unpaid assistant "Stretch") for their preparation of this great filly by One Hot Krymsun and out of the great World Champion mare, Zips Chocolate Swirl! Thanks also to Andy Lockwood for your help in getting Oprah shown.
(Note: Many people have asked how I came about the name choice of Oprah Winnee. This filly reminds me of the beautiful giving nature of her namesake, and a personal hero of mine, Oprah Winfrey.)

This very nice filly is by One Hot Krymsun and out of Radiance N Iron. Thanks to Paula Lyons for consigning this filly to the 2006 Reichert Yearling Sale. Watch for "Honey" at the Reichert in August.

Kongratulations also goes to Lisa Waters and Maker A Kool Krymsun for 4th place in the Novice Breeders Longe Line and for a top 10 place in the Open Breeders LL. Way to go Lisa! This beautiful brown filly, Jackie, is owned by Bob and Gail Waters and is out of Maker A Zippo Too.

A BIG Kongratulations to Dean and Sandra Batton's longe liner, The Koolest Krymsun for placing 6th in the Novice Breeders Longe Line with Gord Wadds. What a magnificent colt he is! You have to be proud of him Deano! We wish you caould have been with us. We're all rooting for you. The Koolest Krymsun was raised by Bill Cox and Elaine Vink out of the mare, Lopen Sarah Brown.

One Hot Krymsun ~ First Winner of the WC Triple Krown
"It Was A Long Journey But Well Worth the Ride"
One Hot Krymsun and David Dellin made AQHA history on Friday, November 18, 2005. This dynamic team won the 2005 Senior Western Pleasure World Championship, amidst a fiercely competitive field of talented Senior pleasure horses. When interviewed by AQHA, all David could say was, "Amazing!" This win, along with their 2001 World Championship in the Two Year Old Snaffle Bit, and their 2002 World Championship in the Junior Western Pleasure makes One Hot Krymsun the only horse in history to win all three Open Western Pleasure World Champion titles... and each time he won in his first attempt.

After winning the Two Year Old WP World Championship, we set out on a quest for all three trophies. The second one came quickly, even after breeding a small set of test mares, as a three year old in the Jr WP. After that, we had to wait three long years to make a run for the Senior title. We were faced with the issue of keeping him "show ready" during this period and keeping him in front of the judges and winning. So we took a period and had him try the Western Riding, in which he won a Congress Champion title. Also in 2004, I showed him in the non-Pro events at Congress and won another Champion title and two more Reserve Champion titles. All of this was fit around a very full breeding schedule from February to July each year. Finally in 2005, we were able to show him as a Senior horse, and our trainer, Gil Galyean, hauled him to three shows and qualified him. (Many thanks to Gil for making this World Show possible for Jet.)

One Hot Krymsun is an amazing horse with an amazing show record, and is working hard to build an equally amazing sire record. We thank all of you who have believed in him for the past 6 years... who have trusted him to breed your great mares over the last four years. It is always easier to choose a stallion once his get are proven, but the fun is in making that judgement call before everyone else, then pouring your hopes and dreams into the product that results from a great mare line and a great stallion.

OHK Kaptures Another Kongress Win
One Hot Krymsun and Dave Dellin added another Kongress title to their list of accomplishments by winning the Open Western Pleasure Maturity. The class was a very tough one.
